The
Castelli Romani: An inland summer resort area for
the wealthy since the days of the Romans. The Pope’s
summer residence, Castel Gandolfi and the crisp
white wine producing town of Frascati are the most
well known of the 13 towns.
The lakes: There
are several large lakes north of Rome which are
beautiful places to spend a warm sunny day. Lake
Bracciano is popular with Hollywood stars for weddings
and is close to picturesque town of Trevignano Romano
or medieval Bracciano. |
